Meet the Mergies: Amy Leung

Welcome to another edition of Meet the Mergies, a content series that spotlights the wonderful humans who work at Merge.

Today’s edition features Amy Leung, a customer success manager who works out of our San Francisco office.

You can read on to learn why Amy joined Merge, what she works on day-to-day, why she likes working here, and more!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I try to fully immerse myself in San Francisco alongside my friends, whether that’s going to concerts, restaurants, pop–up events, and so on. I also enjoy solo hobbies, like reading, journaling, and yoga.

Where were you working prior to Merge?

I previously worked at Attentive, an AI marketing platform, where I was a Team Lead on the Client Strategist team. The role required a lot of interpersonal communication and technical deep-dives, which has really helped me in my current role at Merge!

What attracted you to Merge?

Everyone I talked to during my interview process came from different backgrounds, whether that was years of experience, industries, roles, and so on. It was clear that these differences only strengthened the team, as it allowed them to be well rounded and learn from one another over time.

I knew that this commitment to building a diverse team would only help me learn, grow, and contribute as well.

In addition, the customer-facing role was particularly interesting because it would not only allow me to help customers adopt a cutting-edge product but also work with customers that are breaking boundaries in their respective industries.

What does your typical day at Merge look like?

The CSM role at Merge is incredibly wide ranging and cross-functional. I talk to customers every day about anything from their integration strategy to a specific nuance of a particular API.

Internally, I work with our solutions architects on technical customer implementations, account executives on renewals, platform engineers for specific API mappings, content marketing manager to build case studies, and product managers for roadmap feedback. There’s truly never a dull day!

What do you like most about working at Merge?

Everyone says it, but the people are the best. I’m surrounded by people I admire and that make me laugh incredibly hard. They make it such a joy to come to work every day.

But Merge isn’t just a Unified
API product. Merge is an integration platform to also manage customer integrations.  gradient text
“It was the same process, go talk to their team, figure out their API. It was taking a lot of time. And then before we knew it, there was a laundry list of HR integrations being requested for our prospects and customers.” gradient text
