Meet the Mergies: Jemma Baus

Welcome to another edition of Meet the Mergies, a content series that spotlights the wonderful employees, or “Mergies”, who work here.

In this edition, we’re featuring a rockstar on our customer success team—Jemma Baus.

Since joining us a little over a year ago, Jemma has helped countless clients free up engineering resources, delight clients, attract prospects, and expand into new markets—all through the integrations they build and manage on Merge.

You can read on to learn what she enjoys doing outside of work, what attracted her to Merge, what she works on day-to-day, and more.

1. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love exploring all the beautiful parts of SF and going out to fun restaurants! For any SF foodies reading this, I highly recommend trying Sorella, Harry’s Bar, and literally any dumpling spot (dumplings in SF are the best!).

I also love reading, running, and skiing! I’m actually training for a half marathon, which I’m feeling both excited and nervous about. 

2. Where were you working prior to Merge?

I was at HelloTeam, an employee engagement and performance management platform, where I worked as a channel partnerships manager. Funny enough, they’re a Merge customer!

3. What attracted you to Merge?

I was instantly attracted to the company’s culture. Everybody seemed to get along really well and came across as incredibly bright and passionate about their work.

4. What does your typical day at Merge look like?

As a customer success manager, I try to give customers the best support possible. This typically involves working with customers on technical support issues as well as helping them roll out integrations to their customers. 

I also help clients expand into other integration categories we support, sync more data over time, and leverage advanced features in Merge—all with the goal of supporting their product roadmaps.  

Finally, since I’ve gotten a ton of exposure on how organizations market their integrations, I like to help clients brainstorm ways to increase awareness and adoption of their integrations.

5. What do you like most about working at Merge?

I never feel afraid to ask questions, and as someone who’s relatively early in their career, this has been critical for accelerating my growth and development. 

Also, as someone who’s in the product every day, I can honestly say that it’s incredibly powerful. We’re helping clients build more integrations than they ever thought was possible, and that’s not only benefiting their business but also their clients’.

6. What keeps you excited about working here?

Everyone at Merge shares an unwavering belief in the company. We're fully aware that our collective efforts today are paving the way for us to achieve great things in the future!
