Meet the Mergies: Cam Iadeluca
Welcome to another edition of Meet the Mergies, a content series that spotlights the wonderful humans who work at Merge.
Today’s edition features Cam Iadeluca, an SDR turned account executive who's an absolute joy to work with.
You can read on to learn why Cam joined Merge, what he works on day-to-day, why he likes working here, and more!
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love riding my bike! It’s become a competitive sport for me over the past few years; I’ve taken on a “wanna-be” racer mentality with my training and dieting (but I make an exception for Ice cream, especially if it’s from Caffe Panna or Anita Gelato).
Where were you working prior to Merge?
I was a Sr. Strategy Consultant on KPMG’s Technology, Media, and Telecommunications team. I primarily worked on commercial due diligence projects, where I conducted market research reports for private equity shops looking to acquire smaller, promising software startups. The experience gave me early exposure to software development.
What attracted you to Merge?
The team’s intensity. I remember walking out of my interview 2 years ago feeling like they had a winning team. Each person I spoke with had a burning drive to build the next best company.
I couldn’t wait to be a part of it.
What does your typical day at Merge look like?
First, I head straight to the office’s kitchen to grab a quick breakfast, say hi to friends, and pet our office manager’s dog, Ollie.
Next, it’s back to my desk where I answer some emails and start taking calls with both prospects and customers who are already successful with Merge. This work— problem-solving for companies, understanding and diagnosing issues, and hopefully providing solutions through our platform—continues throughout the day.
I almost always conclude the night with dinner with the team!
What do you like most about working at Merge?
The people at Merge energize and inspire me every day!
We are also friends in and out of the office, doing everything from grabbing coffee to biking to playing chess. I couldn’t have chosen a better group of people to surround myself with.
