Meet the Mergies: Clayton Bradshaw

Welcome to another edition of Meet the Mergies, a content series that spotlights the wonderful humans who work at Merge.

Today’s edition features one of our world-class AEs, Clayton Bradshaw.

You can read on to learn why Clayton joined Merge, what he works on day-to-day, why he likes working here, and more!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I’m a huge fan of traveling and having different experiences. I'm currently on a mission to keep up my streak of visiting as many countries as my age (>30 so far)!

Some of my favorite trips this year have been going to Munich for Oktoberfest, hiking in Banff, Canada, and visiting London to watch the marathon.

When I'm not traveling, you can find me running through Central Park or on the West Side Highway.

Where were you working prior to Merge?

I was working at a venture studio, where I helped incubate and start vertical SaaS companies. Partnering with founders on their early journeys was one of the most unique experiences I've had to date.

What attracted you to Merge?

When I started interviewing with Merge, I could immediately tell that there was something special. The team and founders were unmatched, and the market opportunity was so exciting.

Also, as the first enterprise AE at Merge, there were a lot of challenging problems to solve, and I couldn’t wait to take them on.

What does your typical day at Merge look like?

Every day looks a bit different. I can be heads down prospecting, structuring complex deals, traveling for customer on-sites, or even working with our product and engineering teams on the product roadmap based on the needs we're seeing in the market.

Merge keeps me on my toes, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

What do you like most about working at Merge?

Many enterprise opportunities require me to work cross-functionally to "build the parachute on the way down.”

Figuring out the things we don't know yet and putting together a plan with minds smarter than my own is one of the things that motivates me every day.
