Meet the Mergies: Hayley Ye

Welcome to another edition of Meet the Mergies, a content series that spotlights the wonderful humans who work at Merge.

Today’s edition features Hayley Ye, a product designer who works out of our New York City office.

You can read on to learn more about why Hayley joined Merge, what she works on day-to-day, why she likes working here, and more!

1. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I like hosting dinner parties, window shopping, reading books by female authors, learning about interior design, visiting long-distance friends, and exploring new places!

2. Where were you working prior to Merge?

Merge is my first full-time job out of college, but I previously interned at GoDaddy as a frontend software developer.

3. What attracted you to Merge?

I started at Merge as an intern, which gave me the opportunity to get to know the people and product over several months before committing full time.

I quickly learned that Merge was everything I was looking for. It was a really collaborative environment; I was constantly learning new things and being challenged; and I was able to make an impact building a best-in-class product with talented and driven people.

4. What does your typical day at Merge look like?

I get to design all of Merge’s products, including internal tools, so I get to solve new and exciting problems every day.

This involves working closely with our product managers to ideate and iterate on designs in Figma and then getting feedback from our post-sales or platform teams, depending on the project. Once a design is reviewed and approved, I then support our engineering team throughout the build process to make sure everything comes together just right.

5. What do you like most about working at Merge?

The people! Mergies are so genuine, thoughtful, and dedicated. They make the workplace fun. Even on tough days, I look forward to going into the office.

But Merge isn’t just a Unified
API product. Merge is an integration platform to also manage customer integrations.  gradient text
“It was the same process, go talk to their team, figure out their API. It was taking a lot of time. And then before we knew it, there was a laundry list of HR integrations being requested for our prospects and customers.” gradient text
